branding - walking advertisement

In the events, you will be provided this chair&bag from the events. You can bring it as a bag, and then if you get tiered, you can sit on the chair&bag as a your personal chair.

For branding, it can be put advertisement on the side wall, and it would be a walking advertisement.

1:1 model - mock-up

I used laser cutting and then made v-cut by myself.



















As you can see above photo, I have got good curvatures. However, I cut too much in some v-cut points and fixed them by cloth tape. If I cut properly, it would be working well. Anyway, it can support my weight.

bend relief

I put bend relieves on the four points which could be tear. I referred the techniques for sheet metal bending and applied them to my bend relieves. I made 2 types of vend relieves and I have decided to use rectangular one because it seemed to be suitable for my chair shape.

trial 1:1 model (part) with honeycomb

Next, I made 1:1 model (just part of whole model because I had only small piece of 10mm thickness cardboard). I used width:10mm honeycomb and got good curvatures and also strong structure to hold the heavy weight. I am going to apply this pattern onto final model.
